Intended Use:

The Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the semi-quantitative detection of SDMA in canine’s and feline’s whole blood, serum, plasma at a cut-off of 14μg/dL. For veterinary use only.

 

Principle:
The Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) Rapid Test Cassette is based on competitive lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test cassette has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. In the test, SDMA antigen is coated on the T line region of the membrane, SDMA in the specimen will compete with the SDMA antigen coated on the membrane with the SDMA antibody labeled with colloidal gold particles.The less SDMA in the specimen, the more chance that colloidal gold particles-conjugated anti-SDMA antibodies can be captured by the SDMA antigen coated on the membrane. The intensity of the T line is inversely proportional to the SDMA concentration in the sample. By this means, the test cassette can accurately indicate the presence of Symmetric Dimethylarginine (SDMA) in the specimen.
